The Kit Gear enables the motor to engage and turn the engine's crankshaft. It consists of a ring gear adapter that mounts to the back of the primary belt drive clutch basket. When the starter motor is activated, it spins the pinion gear, which in turn rotates the ring gear, initiating the engine's combustion process.
