A Straight Sleeve Bearing is a sliding contact bearing in which the surface of the shaft slides over the surface of the bush. It consists of a cylindrical sleeve with a smooth inner surface that allows a shaft to rotate inside it with minimal friction. The angle of contact of the bearing with the journal is 3600, therefore, it is a full journal bearing. With the addition of lubrication, sleeve bearings offer a low coefficient of friction and provide excellent wear resistance.
Attributes:
Manufactured using either Steel or Rubber based on the requirement.
Designed to minimize friction between the shaft and the bearing surface
Can accommodate misalignment between the shaft and the bearing surface
Compact, lightweight, and easy to install
Possesses high shock load resistance and minimizes vibration
Applications:
A Straight Sleeve Bearing is suitable for applications where press fitting into a housing bore is the most practical bearing retention method. Mostly used in Cat® 420F and 430F Backhoe, 906H, 908H, 910K, 910M, 914G, 914K, 914M, 918F, 924F, 924G, 924K, 926M, 928F, 928G, 930G, 930K, 930M, 936F, 938F, 938G, 938K, 938M, 950F, 950G, 950K, 950M, 962G, 962M, 966H, IT12, IT12B, IT12F, IT12F, IT14B, IT14F, IT14G, IT18, IT18B, IT18F, IT24F, IT28, IT28B, IT28F, IT28G, IT38F, IT38G and IT62G Wheel Loader, BA22 and BA25 Broom - Angle, Hydraulic, BA30 Work Tools
