A Lip Type Seal is designed to be flexible and conform to the shape of the shaft, allowing it to compensate for shaft misalignment or runout. Its provide rigidity and support for the sealing lip. The casing also provides a surface for the seal to be pressed into place within the torque converter. and its ability to withstand extreme pressures and harsh environmental conditions.

A Lip-Type Seal is used in Torque Converters to prevent fluid leakage, mostly used in Cat® 613, 613B, 613C and DW10 Wheel Tractor Scrapers, 613, 613B and 613C Scraper, 613C and W10 Wagon, 613C OEM Applications, 950F Wheel Loader, D13000, D342, D342C and G342C Engine (Piston), D20D Articulated Truck, D8R, D8 Track Type Tractor, TH28, and TR28 Powertrain.
