Description:
A Piston Ring is typically located in the second groove of the Piston and is responsible for controlling the amount of oil that is allowed to pass from the Oil Ring groove to the combustion chamber. The Oil Control Piston Ring is designed to scrape excess Oil from the cylinder wall and return it to the Oil pan, while still providing enough lubrication to prevent excessive wear and tear on the engine components.
