Description:
A relief valve is a type of valve used in hydraulic systems to protect the system against excessive pressure. In the case of a powered stairway, the relief valve is used in the hydraulic lines of the handrail kit to prevent the hydraulic system from exceeding its maximum pressure limit. It is designed to open when the pressure in the hydraulic system reaches a certain level, allowing the excess fluid to bypass the system and return to the reservoir.
