Description:
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve works by opening and closing a passage between the exhaust manifold and the intake manifold in the engine arrangements. When the valve is open, a portion of the exhaust gas is redirected back into the intake manifold, where it mixes with the incoming air/fuel mixture.
Attributes:
• Reduces emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx)
• Recirculates a portion of the engine's exhaust gas back into the combustion chamber
• Reduces the amount of oxygen available for combustion
Applications:
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve allows a precise quantity of exhaust gas to re-enter the intake system, effectively changing the chemical makeup of the air entering the engine. This is widely used in Cat 236D, 242D, 246D, 257D, 259D, 262D, 277D, 279D, 287D and 289D Skid Steers, 259D, 287D, 308E, and 908M 308, 308.5, 308E, 309 and 310 Excavators, 308E Scraper, 906M, 907M and 908M Wheel Loader, AP300, AP300F, AP355, and AP355F Paving Equipment.
