A Buffer Seal, also known as a Buffer ring or buffer seal, is a part used to provide a sealing and buffering function for the piston rod. It is placed on the piston rod of Hydraulic Cylinders to protect the main rod seal and prevent damage or excessive wear caused by high-pressure impacts or shock loads.

• Helps to dampen the vibrations caused by the movements
• Withstand the heavy loads and high rotational speeds caused by the shaft

Applications:
A Buffer Seal acts as a barrier against external elements and prevents leakage of hydraulic fluid and contaminants into the cylinder.
