Description:
Cat® Bushings are used to attach and position systems, accommodate displacement, and isolate components from the surrounding structure (vibration, shock, noise.)
Bushings are cylindrical rubber components with an inner steel sleeve. They may be straight or flanged (with lip). Some come installed into an outer sleeve.
Cat® Bushing Systems are designed to reduce stress and strain on mounted components to increase their durability and performance life, and to contribute to operator comfort. The entire system (mount design, material selection, placement, hardware, etc.) is optimized and validated to meet specific application requirements.
Bushing are designed primarily to support radial loads, and some may allow rotation. They are typically press-fitted into the supporting structure for a strong, stable connection. Bushings with outer sleeves may also be installed into a cap-and-saddle supporting structure.
Applications:
Bushing are used in a wide variety of Cat mounting systems, such as powertrain, cooler, electronic, cab, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
