Description:
A sliding piston is a mechanical device consisting of a cylindrical body with a flat surface called a piston head, which slides back and forth within a cylinder. The piston head is sealed with piston rings to prevent air or fluid leakage between the piston and the cylinder walls. The resulting expansion of gases pushes the piston, which then turns a crankshaft to produce rotational motion.
