A Straight Sleeve Bearing is a sliding contact bearing in which the surface of the shaft slides over the surface of the bush. It consists of a cylindrical sleeve with a smooth inner surface that allows a shaft to rotate inside it with minimal friction. The angle of contact of the bearing with the journal is 3600, therefore, it is a full journal bearing. With the addition of lubrication, sleeve bearings offer a low coefficient of friction and provide excellent wear resistance. This Sleeve Bearing is placed inside the coupler frame assembly to provide smooth operation.
Attributes:
• Designed to minimize friction between the shaft and the bearing surface
• Can accommodate misalignment between the shaft and the bearing surface
• Provided with an Oil hole of size 5mm
• Possesses high shock load resistance, minimizes vibration (and therefore noise)
Applications:
A Straight Sleeve Bearing is used in the in-between frame coupler to provide a smooth-running landscape power rack, generally used to reduce the friction between the moving parts.
