An Aftercooler is a component of an engine's cooling unit that helps to reduce the temperature of the compressed air produced by a turbocharger before it enters the engine's combustion chamber. It is typically made up of a series of tubes or passages through which the compressed air flows. The aftercooler is placed in the path of the compressed air between the turbocharger and the engine's intake manifold.
