The Water Separator Base Kit consists of a cap nut, head cap, cap seal, plugs, O-ring seal, retaining ring, and dust seal. The cap nut holds the head cap in place. The head cap covers the filter element and protects it from damage. The cap seal prevents water and other contaminants from entering the filter housing. The plugs seal unused ports on the filter housing. The O-ring seal creates a watertight seal between the head cap and the filter housing. The retaining ring holds the filter element in place.
