A Servo Valve is an operated valve that controls the flow of hydraulic fluid to an actuator. The servo valve controls the piston pump by changing the angle of the swashplate. The swashplate is a tilted disc that drives the pistons in the pump. By changing the angle of the swashplate, the servo valve can control the stroke of the pistons and therefore the amount of fluid delivered by the pump.

Attributes:
• Protects the piston pump from damage by preventing excessive pressure from building up
• Provides feedback to the controller about the performance of the piston pump

Applications:
A Servo Valve is used to regulate the pressure of the hydraulic fluid in the piston pump.
