A Bucket Cutting Edge Wear Plate is a protective part used to protect the cutting edges of the bucket which is the primary contact point with the ground or material being excavated. This wear plate, made from a hard, abrasion-resistant material like hardened steel, is bolted to the specific cutting-edge segment of the bucket assembly. It is made to withstand the loads and stresses that are encountered in the assembly. It can be replaced when they get worn out, instead of having to replace the entire bucket.
